Supplying the brewing, food and beverage industry.
Members and guests of the BFBi recently enjoyed a memorable day in the heart of Westminster, combining history, networking and fine dining during an exclusive visit to the House of Lords.
The event provided attendees with a rare opportunity to step inside one of the United Kingdom’s most iconic institutions and experience the rich heritage of the Palace of Westminster. Guided by expert hosts, guests explored the historic corridors, chambers and ceremonial spaces that have played a central role in British democracy for centuries.
The tour offered fascinating insights into the workings of Parliament, the history of the House of Lords and the architectural significance of the building itself. From the grandeur of Westminster Hall to the intricate craftsmanship found throughout the Palace, there was plenty to captivate visitors throughout the afternoon.
Following the tour, attendees gathered on the famous House of Lords terrace overlooking the River Thames, where drinks provided the perfect opportunity to relax and network with colleagues from across the brewing, food and beverage supply chain.
The day concluded with a superb three-course lunch in the House of Lords, allowing members to continue conversations and strengthen professional connections in a truly unique setting. Guests were warmly welcomed by Lord Evans of Rainow, Member of the House of Lords, who generously sponsored the event and addressed attendees before lunch. BFBi extends its sincere thanks to Lord Evans for his support and hospitality in helping make the occasion such a memorable experience for all involved.
With representatives from across the industry in attendance, the event once again demonstrated the value of BFBi’s regional activities in bringing together suppliers, brewers, manufacturers and industry partners.
Events such as these form an important part of the BFBi calendar, offering members opportunities to develop relationships, share experiences and enjoy exclusive access to venues and experiences that would not ordinarily be available.
