With more than 30 years of fabrication experience, we’ve covered projects ranging from individual adaptors to large‑scale custom designs.
In this week’s edition of Pipeline’s Picks, we’re highlighting a great project from a few years ago, where we manufactured a series of multi‑port flow plates for a well‑known UK brewery.
Understanding customer requirements
Our customer approached us looking for several hygienic and efficient routing solutions that would allow them to continue brewing at scale while maintaining complete confidence in product quality.
Building the flow plates
Working directly from the customer’s drawings, our team fabricated each flow plate entirely from 316 stainless steel to ensure durability and corrosion resistance. CSE hygienic butterfly valves were assembled onto the plates, complete with RJT male end connections. This design allowed the brewery’s swing bends to be attached securely, supporting fast changeovers and smooth operation.
To support sensor integration, which was essential for providing configuration feedback, the swing bends were fitted with 10 mm diameter bars. Among the units produced was an impressive 15‑port flow plate that required a robust, purpose‑built frame. This was manufactured using 50 mm square heavy‑wall box section and paired with a 3 mm stainless‑steel face plate. Bespoke adjustable feet were added to ensure the plate could be levelled easily during installation.
Delivered in just 12 days
One of the main achievements of this project was the rapid turnaround. From the order being placed to final delivery, the entire process was completed within 12 days. This timeframe included laser cutting of the face plate and coordination with a dedicated haulier to ensure delivery on the requested day.
