Supplying the brewing, food and beverage industry.
Taking place at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough, the event will begin with an informal networking dinner on 14th October, followed by a full day of technical presentations, discussion and supplier networking on 15th October.Â
BFBi members were delighted to be welcomed to Titanic Brewery, where Head Brewer Will Bott gave us a fascinating tour of this proudly independent, family-run brewery.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025, Titanic is run by brothers Keith and David Bott and remains firmly rooted in traditional ale brewing. The 50-barrel brewhouse can produce up to three brews a day, with the brewery heavily cask-led and committed to supporting UK suppliers through its use of British malt and hops.
Around half of production is Plum Porter, the beer that has become synonymous with Titanic, alongside an expanding range that includes its nitro stout.
The brewery’s name also has a strong local connection. Captain Edward Smith of RMS Titanic came from nearby Hanley, and the original owner wanted the brewery to help restore respect for a local man whose name had become inextricably linked with the disaster.
Growth continues, although the existing site presents challenges. A new brewhouse and tap are in the pipeline, while Titanic’s pub estate now extends to 17 pubs, including eight bod café bars.
A big thank you to Keith, Will and the Titanic team for their hospitality and for sharing their story with BFBi members.
