Bristol-based craft brewery Wiper and True has improved production efficiency, increased yield and reduced water consumption following the installation of an Alfa Laval Brew 80 separation system.
As the brewery scaled up production, maintaining its high standards of quality while reducing product and resource losses became increasingly important. The new Brew 80 system, combined with Alfa Laval’s ProCarb™ technology, has helped Wiper and True move to a more efficient two-tank brewing process.
The upgrade has reduced product losses from 12–30% to just 8–9%, while cutting processing time from three days to just three hours. The brewery is also achieving savings in water, heating, CO₂ and overall energy consumption.
