Supplying the brewing, food and beverage industry.
Member News on website: Send us a bit about yourselves, your news, people changes etc – this will be posted onto our website
Social Media: Any news will be picked up on our social media platforms; follow us and we will follow you
Your Voice: Any news/articles tec will be sent to be published in our quarterly newsletter, which sits within BBIB (Brewing & Beverage in Business) magazine
Digital Enhancement: We’ve strengthened the digital footprint for BFBi and its members with a range of new initiatives. These include the launch of Meet the Member opportunities — creating video and audio records of visits — along with video coverage of events, the production of podcasts and vodcasts, and an open invitation for members to share their own pod/vodcasts for wider promotion through our channels.
Webinars: we will organise, host, and record a member webinar, which will then be posted on BFBi YouTube channel and further promoted via social media. List of registered attendees sent post-event to the member company.
Seminars: organised around a theme, incorporating presentations in bite-sized pieces, followed by social networking opportunity.
Exhibitions: BFBi organises member participation at a number of exhibitions in the UK and around the world, often partnering with affiliate industry organisations – i.e. CIBD 2025 Sustainability Conference and 2025 International Cheese & Dairy Expo. Companies looking to expand their international footprint benefit from space on the BFBi Pavillion format at relevant overseas trade shows.
Tours: BFBi organises tours to a range of drinks manufacturers. Hosted by production staff, members can make new contacts and gain a more detailed understanding of the manufacturing process across the broad drinks industry spectrum.
BFBi started in 1907 as The Allied Brewery Traders’ Association and our network of affiliate Associations across the UK and internationally is extensive. We like to think that we were the Google of the brewing and beverage industry, before Google came and ruined our USP 😀
If you have a question, just ask. If we don’t know the answer we will know who does
Databases: we hold lists of drinks manufacturers and share publicly available information with members
Sunday mailer: any employee of a member company has access to all benefits of membership, including the Sunday Mailer, which lists industry news, information from Croners – who we partner with for H&S, legal, corporate law, PAYE advice etc and, of course, lists all our upcoming events
A strong network helps individuals and businesses gain a competitive edge, build relationships, expand their knowledge, and find support during challenging times. BFBi organises a number of professional and social events across the UK in a variety of formats – from formal (black tie) to casual (in brewery taps), all aimed at ensuring members entertain valued customers and make new contacts
The brewing and beverage industry (in particular those sectors involved in alcohol production) works very much like a family. Competitors will share non-commercial knowledge to the benefit of everybody. Collaboration is acknowledged a being a strength and, with our strap line being “unity is strength”, BFBi very much promotes this.
