Formed as a lobby body to counter Government legislation that proposed that the ownership of all licenced premises should revert to the State, with the proposal to give the electorate the opportunity to vote for complete prohibition or a reduced number of licences, the Association has worked in collaboration with the British Beer & Pub Association, the Institute of Brewing & Distilling, SIBA, Government and international organisations to ensure the brewing supply chain can meet challenges and opportunities together.
To our knowledge, BFBi is the only trade association in the world representing an entire value chain supplying the wider beverage and food industry. Hosting a number of trade committees and leading certain sectors (moist co product feed; dispense), BFBi continually works to promote the value chain supplying the brewing industry, represented by its members.
