The BRCGS for Food Safety is the most widely used of the commercial standards for assuring the safe production of food, with over 20,000 food certificates issued annually by 1,500 auditors working for 64 certification bodies.
Issue 9 is the new update, which will be released in August 2022. The first audits against the standard will be conducted from 1st February 2023.
The standard is now undergoing a short public consultation for comment by industry until 12th January 2022.
