Campden BRI Webinar: COVID-19: What the food industry needs to know – 8th April

This Wednesday, 8th April, at 5pm UK time, Campden BRI’s virologist Martin D’Agostino will be presenting at the webinar: COVID-19 and the Food Industry: What Industry Professionals Need to Know.

Martin will discuss the main questions he has been asked by food businesses about COVID-19, virus surface survival, proper cleaning techniques for plants, and the safety measures food retailers are putting into practice.

He’ll be joined by Dr Craig Hedberg, professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and Dr Lee-Ann Jaykus, professor of food science at North Carolina State University. Areas they’ll address include epidemiology and airborne transmission of the virus, norovirus, hepatitis A, coronavirus, and the difficulties in testing for viruses.
