Joint IBD/BFBi Midlands Sections Annual Engineering Symposium: Fluid Flow and Solid/liquid separation

The 2019 Annual Joint IBD/BFBi Engineering Symposium organised by the Midlands Sections will be held at Derbyshire County Cricket Club on Thursday 7th February ’19. Four papers will be presented on the themes of ‘fluid flow and solid/liquid separation’. Briggs of Burton Plc, who are experts in this particular field, are hosting the event and will provide a cold buffet lunch.
There is ample parking in the grounds of the cricket club

Agenda for the day
12:00 Noon:  Arrival, registration and buffet lunch
13:00 1st session to be chaired by the IBD
13:00-14:00 Solid-liquid separation in the brewhouse:  John Hancock, Briggs of Burton
14:00-15:00 Fluid flow and heat transfer in brewing:  Ian Murfin and Adam Kellett, Briggs of Burton
15:00-15:30 Tea & Coffee
15:30 2nd session to be chaired by the BFBi
15:30-16:30 Darcy’s Law and brewery filtration plant: Oliver Meckler,  Pentair
16:30-17:30 Centrifuges in the brewery process:  Peter Howard and Mark Breese, Alfa Laval

There is no charge for attending this event, the total hospitality package is kindly being sponsored by the hosts, Briggs of Burton Plc.
