Ruth visited Julian and Matthew Stamp of Gas Link Group, based in Pontyclun, South Wales. Supplying pub gases (CO2; N2; Mixed Gases) across the South and West Wales Regions, Gas Link Group comprises:
- Gas Link Wales
- Wales & West Cellar Gas
- Gas Link Industrial
Julian explained that the Group was first formed, as a partnership, in 1999, supplying bottled cellar gases, becoming incorporated in 2001. The company has rapidly expanded to 2,000 end user pubs throughout South Wales, the M4 corridor from Ammanford in the West to Swindon in the East and the M5 Corridor from Tewkesbury in the North and Taunton in the South.   They are slowly working their way inland of the Motorways.
Gas Link Industrial was incorporated within the group in 2017.
ISO9001 certified, all cylinders are filled on site and delivered via their team of dedicated, fully trained, delivery drivers. With gas now 100% sourced from biogas, the current bulk CO2 supply issues are significantly reduced.
Gas Link Wales supplies gas in single cylinder format; bundles (up to 16 cylinders); gas equipment/gas packages and small, bulk gas tanks. Quality of service and safety are paramount, with all gas equipment packages supplied with a CO2 monitor and, if space allows, a cage to house the gas cylinders.
Matthew originally trained as a cellar service technician and undertakes training of local Environmental Health Officers on gas safety in the cellar at Gas Link’s Brynsadler head office.
