New Guideline – Evaluation of Microbiological Shelf-Life of Foods

We have just released some new guidance on evaluating microbiological shelf-life.

The new document (Guideline 46) updates previous guidance on shelf-life evaluation, aligning it with recent changes in the shelf-life evaluation area.

Topics include defining shelf-life, the evaluation sequence (e.g. pilot scale, factory trials), test design, evaluating data and ongoing monitoring.
