LORIEN AND BFBI TO HOST COMPLIANCE BREAKFAST

Lorien Engineering Solutions is joining forces with BFBI for a breakfast briefing that tackles compliance in food and beverage manufacturing.

The event, on 5 March 2020 at the Northern Monk Refectory, Leeds, will feature the latest advice for health and safety and capital projects professionals.

Speakers include Elliot Follows, Lorien head of compliance and health and safety, and Jon Barfield, Lorien compliance consultant.

Lorien is a multi-disciplinary engineering and project management business that counts some of the world’s best-known food and drink manufacturers among its clients. BFBI is the international trade association representing the entire value chain supplying the global food and drink industry.

Elliot Follows said: “Whether you are looking to improve your knowledge, have a refresher or understand responsibilities, this briefing will provide up to date information about directives and changes in legislation. Subjects range PUWER, CDM regulations including roles and responsibilities and issues relating to working at height and using mobile equipment.”

Elliot Follows has more than 20 years’ experience in quality and health, safety and welfare management. He works across the food, beverage and brewing industries as well as the advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical and wellbeing sectors for international clients.

Jon Barfield specialises in machine safety, low voltage, EMC regulations, explosive atmospheres and CE marking. He delivers a range of health, safety and risk consultancy services.
