Based at Harewell House Farm in the heart of Nidderdale, Whittaker’s Distillery is a family-run, small-batch gin producer deeply rooted in the Yorkshire countryside. Founded by Toby and Jane Whittaker, the distillery uses its own spring water and locally foraged or homegrown botanicals like bilberries, thyme, and bog myrtle to craft its award-winning gins.

Distilled in a single copper still named “Jezebel,” their gins reflect both tradition and innovation, with their Original London Dry Gin winning multiple international awards. Visitors can enjoy tours and tastings on site, experiencing the spirit of Yorkshire firsthand.

Founded in 1992 in Masham, Black Sheep Brewery is an independent Yorkshire brewery born from tradition and rebellion. After leaving the family business, Paul Theakston launched Black Sheep in the town’s old maltings, using Dales spring water, English hops, and open Yorkshire Square fermenters.

Known for its award-winning beers like Best Bitter and Riggwelter, the brewery blends classic brewing with modern craft. It also offers brewery tours, a bistro, and a popular visitor centre, all rooted in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
